Really. <br/><br/>And as for the rest of you, you might have already read on Facebook, that we’re training up a new bass player. JimBob is a long time listener, first time performer of Punxie &amp; The Poison Pens music. <br/><br/>Budge, our first bass player, takes a well earned sabbatical from music before he goes on to his own band project The Push with a talented young songstress, Cassie Crash, as well as more projects. I’ll post some news on them from time to time so you can hear what promises to be more great Aussie rock. <br/><br/>JimBob takes over just as we’re about to release a couple of new song demos to MySpace so lucky him is in time to learn lots of songs from scratch with us. They will be up next month to download from Unearthed (Triple J). Together with our last EP this means we’ll have at least four or more of our new songs ready by the next time we gig, really particularly hope you all like the newest Red White &amp; Blue.<br/><br/>Our new bass player JimBob describes his age as late funkalithic... which kind of offends me as he’s the same age as I am. I ain’t ‘late’ anything! Hang on maybe I’m not as old as him, not quite sure.... he’s in pretty good nick anyway. <br/><br/>Bands JimBob has been in/kicked out of include: Travesty, Tailgunners, Done by the Monkees, Groovetongue, The Ray Wilkie Incident, Brisbane Boys College Pipe Band, Queensland Irish Association Pipe Band, Brisbane Caledonian Pipe Band and many more. We’re taking a short break to do a little song writing and practice up on the new songs we already have in our set, before hitting the live music venues in Brisbane again from February 14th on, when we’ll be playing at the Clarence Corner Hotel with Chick Flick and The Pretty Boys. <br/><br/>As for the song writing, stay tuned to get hold of free downloads as we put them up in early February, too! Hope you like the new website, because frankly I’m not making a new one for a while!!
